April 2 through April 8, 2017 is National Crime Victims' Rights Week.  It is a time for us to observe and promote victims rights and honor crime victims and those who advocate on their behalf.  "The Hanover Borough Police Department strongly supports crime victims and their advocates.  We very much appreciate our partnership with such organizations as the Safe Home Program of the YWCA of Hanover.  We admire the work of the safe home advocates who have been providing services to victims of domestic violence in the York and Adams County area for nearly 35 years.  It is an organization this community and our citizens can be very proud of."          -Chief Chad E. Martin

For more information on what services are available through the Safe Home Program of the YWCA of Hanover, please visit their website - http://www.ywcahanover.org/
This year's "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" event will be held on Firday, August 11, 2017.  Come out and join forces with the community and walk along with the many men and women participants in a strong showing of support for victims and domestic violence advocates.  The Hanover Police Department is proud of its partnership with the YWCA of Hanover Safe Home Program.   You may visit the YWCA of Hanover website for more information - http://www.ywcahanover.org
